We created Clutch to get ahead of the competition during our own gaming sessions without having to rely on energy drinks or other jittery supplements. Our gum delivers clean, fast-acting focus in a portable, sugar-free format designed to power your most crucial moments.

Our Story

We’re Jordan and Zach and we're the founders of Clutch! We met over a decade ago in school and have been attached at the hip ever since. After years of climbing the corporate ladder in our respective fields, we finally made the leap in October 2023 and turned our shared vision into reality.

what got that ball rolling? A simple discovery. While grinding COD, Zach realized he consistently played better while chewing gum.

That single moment kicked off months of research. We uncovered a growing body of science showing that chewing gum, regardless of taste or smell, can improve focus, reaction time, and working memory. Digging deeper, we found clinical research proving the cognitive benefits of combining caffeine with amino acids like L-theanine and taurine, which became the foundation of Clutch’s formula.

There was just one problem: we couldn’t make gum to save our lives.

And so began our search for someone to help us bring our vision to life. That's when we found Fred, a local food scientist and innovator, who we immediately knew would be our third musketeer. Over the next two years, our trip  developed and tested over 40 prototypes, obsessing over taste, texture, and performance until we finally nailed the formula.
